Seven years ago, my vision of speaking and writing internationally on the world stage became a reality. At the time, I was an established bestselling author in Japan and had sold over 5 million copies of my books domestically, but deep inside, I knew I wasn’t living my life 100% to the fullest.
I was satisfying myself by simply writing books one after another like my publishers wanted, putting out bestsellers, and teaching seminars and lectures in Japanese.
From the outside, I’m sure it would seem to most people like I was doing my lifework. But if someone were to ask me if I felt that I was connected to my life purpose, manifesting my dreams, I think it would have been a lie to say yes sincerely.
I felt that way because I could tell I was looking at my world and future possibilities with vision that was too narrow.
Since then, it has taken me dozens and even hundreds of attempts to get to where I am today. There were several (maybe hundreds!) of times when I felt overwhelmed, but the vision that landed in my heart was not one to disappear so easily. I was able to keep moving forward thanks to the energy that I received from my best future possible, and also thanks to the curiosity about what that future would be like.
A Vision Quest is a Native American ritual that is performed at milestones in a person’s life. By spending time alone in nature away from family and friends, you can rediscover your true self and receive new visions and renewed energy. Then, with great intention, they are able to choose a fulfilling way of life that is a reflection of who they truly are.
Ken Honda has shared that he stops to go through a vision quest each time he comes to a turning point in his life, too.
While listening, the energy of Hawaii will lend a hand in helping you reconnect with the part of your soul that needs to hear this and reconnect with who you truly are and how you want to live your life. This is a part of you that is usually difficult to access in your daily life as things flow chaotically one day into the next at its usual pace.
We’ve prepared two live calls for participants of this Vision Quest, one in October, before the event, and one in December to follow up, so that you can stay connected to your vision and keep moving toward your best life possible even after returning to your normal everyday life back home.
We wanted to design this program to put everyone’s minds at ease, even if they were feeling unsure about how to receive a vision or didn’t feel confident that they’d be able to change their lives even after receiving a vision. The support will continue even after the three days in Hawaii are over.
